So for starters, my name is Haley and I'm from the not so little town of Santa Clarita, California. Don't think you've ever heard of it? Think Six Flags Magic Mountain, Santa Clarita Diet, Southern California Brush Fires, and where NCIS and so many of your favorite TV shows are filmed.

My first camera was held together with duct tape and a ribbon. My first photography teacher told me I had no eye or talent for photography and should probably drop the class before I failed it. I refused to go to college for photography because I didn't want my hobby to become a job and I never felt like I was good enough to charge people for my work.

Camera's are like passports to me. They take you places you thought you could only dream about, introduce you to people you never would have met. For me, my camera's have let me sit in dugouts for hundreds of baseball games. Not only have they let me go to show venues most people dream of, but get to go behind the scenes and mingle with top riders and influencers in the industry. My camera's helped me through college, as the head photographer for my colleges Athletic Department. My camera's came with me as I worked for a top Show Jumper at one of the most immaculate facilities in Southern California, as well as showing in Colorado. I've seen some of the most expensive houses on the local market, and had my images of them on the covers of Real Estate magazines.

I currently work full time as an Programs Specialist for a national non-profit, have two dogs and a rabbit that keep me exhausted, and a horse that keeps me poor.

My Philosophy

Photography should be fun. It is something we use to relive and remember moments and feelings. I believe in candid, I believe in behind the scenes and I believe in showing that real is so much more amazing than any manicured perfect fake vision. I love capturing action, but my passion is in candid and real lifestyle photography. The quiet moments at the ingate getting ready for a round or class. Walking back to the dugout after a good outing. A picture perfect sunset.

I use natural light and prefer to use editing to enhance the moment, instead of altar it.

I don't do stylized or "portrait" shoots, because I don't enjoy forcing a moment. The best moments between a horse and rider happen everyday when you get them out of the pasture or stall, when you're tacking them up and when they're digging for treats in your back pocket after a good ride. I want you to fall in love with the real.
